My uncle has spent forty years in gold’s gym and now his Christmas list is just socks and the same brand of lifting chalk. I always default to practical stuff and it never feels like it lands. This year I caught this episode while driving home and it made me think differently. I ended up printing him the tallneck from Horizon Zero Dawn using files from Gambody. He used to play that game after his last surgery when he couldn’t lift and I don’t think he expected anyone to remember that. The model assembled clean and the detail on the cables is impressive for FDM. 3D printed gifts aren’t something I’d normally bring to a guy whose whole identity is the weight room but he set it on his nightstand and said it was the first gift in years that wasn’t about fixing him. That stuck with me.
